Before You Enrol
Families
- The Institute recognises that in many cases international/overseas learners may wish to bring family members who will stay with them during their period of study in Australia. For more information on visas for family members, learners are advised to visit the Commonwealth Department of Home Affairs website homeaffairs.gov.au. Please note: school-aged dependants accompanying an international/overseas learner to Australia will be required to pay full fees if they are enrolled in either a government or private school.
Overseas student health cover (OSHC)
- International/overseas learners must have appropriate health cover/insurance for the duration of their study in Australia as part of their visa conditions. The overseas student health cover fee for 14 months is AU$560.15 (single) and AU$6162.00 (family). These figures are subject to change, and learners are advised to contact Australian Health Management or visit its website ahm.com.au for current fee structures and costs.
Costs associated with study in Australia
- International/overseas learners need to be aware that the cost of receiving post-school education in Australia is high but far less costly than countries such as Britain and the USA, considering tuition fees, living costs, and international travel. Therefore, learners need to plan properly to ensure they are able to pay the costs they will incur in Australia before making such a move.
Living costs in Australia
- Living costs very much depend on individual learners and their needs. However, the Department of Home Affairs has financial requirements where learners need to provide evidence in order to receive a visa to study in Australia. From 1 Feb 2018, the 12-month living cost is assessed as AU$20,290.00.
Transfers from other education and training providers
- International/overseas learners already studying in Australia and applying for transfer of their visa to the Institute will be considered for entry only if the Institute is satisfied that all the requirements (including payment of fees) at the former institution have been met. A letter of release from the previous institution may also be required.
Refund policy
